OBIS is looking for a talented and flexible Community Engagement and Communication Officer to join its team! This consultancy offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the global marine biodiversity data community and contribute to strengthening communication, outreach, and collaboration across the OBIS network. The selected consultant will support OBIS’s community of Nodes and partners worldwide, as well as play a key role in the communication activities of the upcoming second phase of the UNESCO eDNA Expeditions.

The position is full-time for 11 months and is remote, with regular coordination with the OBIS Secretariat based in Ostend, Belgium. The role involves supporting community initiatives, developing communication strategies, managing content across platforms, and translating complex scientific information into clear and engaging materials tailored for different audiences. It is an excellent opportunity for a motivated communicator with a passion for marine biodiversity and global collaboration.
